Baron of belmonte's view

Very well placed for visit to the city. they could improve on the break fast tea and coffee. rooms comfortable. safe difficult to set as text in package did not apply to safe in room. otherwise a good located and comfortable hotel

Past its best

This is the smallest double room we have ever stayed in. around 3m x 3m with a cupboard in the corner which was the bathroom? apparently this was a typical room for this hotel. everything was past its best with the bed being the most uncomfortable ever. we had a very expensive meal in the hotel restaurant and i had food poisoning the next day. luckily we were travelling home early and i didnt get sick till i was back in the uk. the staff, however, were amongst the friendliest we encountered during our stay in venice.

Long weekend in venice

The hotel was lovely; the room was not huge but was big enough. large bed with a sumptuous bathroom. the only down side was that we overlooked the canal (great) but also where all of the rubbish was left for collection - bit smelly, quite noisy and not pretty.

Ideal hotel in the centre of venice

Half way between st mark's square and the rialto bridge. clean hotel in excellent location. rooms rather small (or was bed rather big?) don't use shuttle service to hotel. don't use water-bus to/from airport. do share a water-taxi from airport to st. mark's square (100 euros for 5 people, then 20 euros per extra person). do buy a water-bus pass for 12,24,36,72 hours :)
