Blooms hotel - 13/10

We stayed at the blooms hotel on monday 13th october for two nights. as i have stayed at the blooms hotel 7 years ago, i knew what to except. we checked it after 2pm but was told we had to give our credit card details for extras we might have. we didnt taken any bank cards with us so we had to give £40 or 50 euro deposit which was fine. got to our room and we had one of the new furbished rooms and it was very nice, the building work was not all that but very clean, classy room with a lcd tv. the reception staff, a guy was so helpful. my partner had a very bad toothache and we needed a number for a emergency dentist. the guy at reception gave us the number for the dentist. the location was fantastic, right in the centre of temple bar. although there was a lot of noise, it is to be excepted though. breakfast was good, and the cleanliness was fab. i would definatley recommend this hotel

Our stay at blooms

Very nice hotel, rooms are being renovated at the moment which are lovely but the old rooms aren't very nice. due to the rooms being updated alot of banging and noise going on. excellent location, very close to the bars and shops. breakfast nice, lots of choice from toast and cereal to full fry up.

Perfect location

The hotel is situated on the edge of temple bar and a five minutes walk from grafton street, perfect location. the rooms are adequate thought there is a refurvishment underway so that should improve, the breakfasts are great buffet style always fresh.

Easter weekend!

A hotel in an amazing location if you enjoy drinking on temple bar. the bar in the hotel has a great atmosphere and nice food. the live band was an added bonus. breakfast is very good. some of the rooms have started to be refurbed to a lovely standard the others are a little dated but still clean. i would recommend this for location and price, you couldnt get better.

Bob's bloomer review

Great location, very outdated in decor etc, rooms very small, good breakfast. the place is in need of a complete renovation, although still good value for money.

Autumn break

Stayed at this hotel twice before. knew it had a good bar and was in an excellent location. room was very tired looking. fixtures and fittings hanging off the walls. was in need of modernising. no tea and coffee facilities. lots of noise from adjacent rooms. guess thats to be expected after the guinness has been flowing and the onsite night club empties! staff were mainly polish or from that part of the world, although friendly and helpful. overall, good hotel, great location, good value for temple bar area. rooms need renovating, plus tea aan coffee needs to be provided. good breakfast and served until 11:00. excellent selection of food. recommended

Blooms hotel

Rooms were clean and the full irish breakfast was good but the rooms seemed basically equiped for a 3 star hotel (only one uk electrical socket, hairdryer was broken and the room lacked sufficient lighting!) overall though, we had a great time in dublin!

Oh dear

The blooms hotel was recommended bya friend ans so iwasa confident that it would be a nice hotel how devastated i was when we saw the romms, the bedding was clean but that was about all the bathroom walls were stained the carpet was stained and the furniture looked like it had been bought from second hand shops i imeediately went to reception to change my romm but was told that all the rooms were the same, we dhad invited another couple to come along with us and they were equally disappointed! the location was good and the bar was good but the rooms are shocking!

Great lively location in centre of temple bar

This hotel is in a great location if you want to visit bars and clubs, and be in amongst the young people of dublin. the full irish breakfast however is really not great. cold sausages and warm orange juice, with stale bread is not great. and for sixty pounds a night, i think we deserved better. the rooms are basic but clean. watch out for the windows that open way too wide though! especially if you're drunk! the girl at reception was lovely. but i didn't like how she not only needed to swipe my credit card for security reasons (i know this happens in alot of hotels) but i also had to type in my pin number and the screen said something about thirty four pounds! i seriously hope this doesn't come up on my bill, because i had already paid before arrival. oh and car parking - there is none! well they say there is but they don't give you good enough directions to find it! and in dublin that adds about 20 euros a night onto the price of your stay.
