Ok overall

After a day at colchester zoo, we just wanted somewhere to relax instead of driving home. checked in fine, plenty of parking. as walked through got the impression wasnt going to be very child friendly in the restaurant so ended up going back out to frankie and bennys so i didnt have to worry while i ate with my 3 yr old daughter. sleep fine over night no noise, went down to restaurant in the morning, seemed to be busy with what seemed like a bus load. hot buffet needed topping up alot but never had everything out at once so got fed up waiting and ended up just having cereal and toast. after breakfast thought we would go for a swim as had purposely booked hotel with pool for daughter but very very disappointly children were not allowed in between 9-11!! if i had known this i would not had paid extra for a hotel with leisure facilities if i couldnt use them!! im guessing this is because of gym memberships but as a resident of the hotel i feel there should be no restrictions on usage.
