Great location

We spent 5 great nights at the astoria whilst the cannes film festival was on. got a great rate and we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. i think it has just had a refurb as it all seemed quite new/modern. it was clean and in a very good location. the train station is at the top of the street. we took a train to cannes one day (8 min journey) and we went to monte carlo the next (1hr journey), on the way back we hopped off the train in nice for lunch and then back on again for no extra cost. juan les pins is really nice and this hotel is 100 metres from the beach front. lots of nice restaurants on the beach, reasonable prices. the entertainment was fab and the cocktails were delicious! no complaints about any part of the trip. it was good also to be close to cannes but not actually in it with all the hustle and bustle of the festival. will definitely be returning.
