Excellent stay at a very good price.spacious upgraded room good views. good breakfast with good choice of fruit and cooked items. very friendly service. a four star hotel at 3 star prices with hotel click. we have been to this hotel 3 times and would definitely return. it is in a quiet location with excellent cheap transport and next to a shopping center with good restaurants and near the beach.

This is a very well-managed city centre hotel. staff were most helpful, expert guidance on use of the metro, attentive to our security and gave good advice - especially their choices of fish restaurants (restaurante barcelonetta; el raco de la villa). hotel bar prices compared favorably with nearby cafes. on the downside room service was either understaffed or badly run - all of our requests were met with estimated response times of more than 30 mins and one time (around 18.00h) we were quoted an hour which is no use if a lady fancies something sparkling when she is getting ready to go out. web access was very good in the room and superb in the barcelona room. i liked the rooftop pool for swimming lengths - the gymn needs more upper body equipment or a rowing machine. it's now my first choice barcelona hotel.

Without a doubt the princess has the wow factor. it is simply stunning both outside and inside. there are amazing views from the glass lifts, the bedrooms and from the pool area on the 23rd floor. lovely breakfast buffet with a really good choice.staff throughout the hotel were professional, corteous and attentive. probably as good as it ever gets!

Stayed 29 + 30 may 2008. staff very friendly and helpful, room lovely, panoramic view of barcelona from bedroom window fantastic even though we were at the back of the hotel (floor 8). breakfast excellent. pool area lovely. top floor pool could do with a few chairs as well as the sun loungers. very impressed. tram and open top bus available from outside hotel. metro 1 min walk

A really nice modern hotel, good location near shopping centre. room average size but fitted out really well. great shower and lots of little extras to make stay more enjoyable, free mini bar, tolitries and use of bath robes and slippers. central barcelona only a short bus ride away. breakfast was included in my room rate which made it very good value. my room was on the 23rd floor with great view, but with access via glass elevators and bridges this may be a problem for some people. i was a bit concerned about the hotel after reading some other reviews, but i found the hotel to be of a very good quality, the rooms quite and the receiption staff friendly and helpful. the only downside was the lack of public lounges, only 1 avaliable which was on the ground floor and quite sparse.

Everything about our stay was perfect, the accommodation was faultless, the staff were attentive and willing to help, the views of barcelona from the roof top swimming pool were breathtaking, the food was excellent. the location of the hotel is on the edge of the city but public transport, bus tram and metro are all in close proximity to the hotel and you can be in placa de catalunya within 15 minutes. we will be back.
