This elegant hotel, and the largest spa centre in the Baltics, is located in the very centre of Jurmala, on the beach of the Gulf of Riga. The Baltic Beach Hotel is found on the shores of Jurmala only 15 minutes away from the International airport Riga and only 25 minutes away from the capital... So bad
We booked and prepaid for a standard room. when we checked in the receptionist asked us if we had booked an economy room, and we said no, it was a standard room. we recieved the key and she said "if you do not like the room you are welcome come back". just as she knew that we would not like the room. and it was just awful.... interior unchanged from the sixties, so smokey, no balcony and not even the slightest view of the sea. it seemed like a room for the staff. when complaining, we received another room - quite ordinary and what i would say is a standard room, but we had to pay a lot extra for this.
