We stayed four nights at the palace hotel and enjoyed it: excellent and helpful staff, large room, quality breakfast. the price was incredibly good value, working out at around £70 a night inc breakfast. however, i would quibble as to whether this is really a five star hotel, as there were things which did not match up: soundproofing was inadequate, bathroom fittings were cheap, bath towels were thin, limited choice of tv channels, basic bar/bistro. but as i say, overall a great place to stay.
