Good choice
We stayed at this hotel for six nights in may. the location is excellent and very near to metro stations restauradores and rossio. in addition rossio train station for going to sintra is next door. the hotel is in an agreeable area and within walking distance of castelo sao jorge and praca do commercio by the river tejo. there are many restaurants and coffee shops in the immediate vicinity. walking in the area was pleasant and seemed safe at all times.
hotel staff were polite, friendly, professional and quite helpful.
to get to the hotel we boarded aerobus 1 from the airport and got off at restauradores stop which is a minutes walk to the hotel. return fare was euro 5.50 per person. a cheaper way would be to go by metro first on the red line from aeroporto to the end of the line at s. sebastiao and change there for the blue line towards santa apolonia. the stop to get off for the hotel is restauradores.
our standard fifth floor twin room was fairly large, very quiet with good decorations, air conditioning, tv, telephone, safe, mini bar, writing desk, bath robes, slippers etc. linen and towels were clean and changed as requested.
most days a complimentary bottle of water was put in the room plus two small pieces of chocolates.
bathroom was adequately large and clean with good and sufficient amenities. it had a bidet and a hair dryer but no magnifying mirror. it was poorly maintained as water leaked from under the bath tub and made the floor wet and slippery. it could also do with better lighting for make up and shaving.
breakfast buffet was quite good with plenty of fresh fruits and was served in a very charming and grand room as are all the common areas of the hotel.
free wifi was available in the room and all areas of the hotel and the reception was good. for those without a smart phone or laptop or tablet there is a computer on the first floor.
we liked the hotel and would stay there again and recommend it to other travellers.
