This hotel is a rarity in bergen being privately owned and run, and therein lies its greatest appeal. It is a cosy home from home that will suit all types of traveller it comes recommended! Perfect start to a hurtigruten voyage
Arrived at hotel augustin after midnight on night before my hurtigruten voyage. was welcomed and informed of amenities. checked into lovely room which overlooked the harbour. after looking round bergen the following day, was made very welcome in comfortable hotel lounge -was offered free tea/coffee and delicious waffles. hotel also offered internet facilities - luggage was safely put away in storage room. was re-assured/advised by very friendly staff as to correct check-out time to reach port. receptionist ordered taxi. would always use this hotel again and praised/recommended it to new friends who i met on the voyage.
