This hostel was completely renovated in 2004 and comprises 77 rooms spread over 6 floors. Guests are welcomed in the foyer with 24-hour reception desk, hotel safe and lift. Additionally, a café a TV room and an air-conditioned restaurant count amongst the hotel facilities. A public Internet... U get what u pay for
We got a rate of 72e with breakfast for 2 nights so we did not expect much. the reception was adequate, we arrived very late but had no problems at checking with staff finding the reservation. i had asked for a double of 2 beds but instead got a 1 bed double the size of a box with a balcony (but again for just 36e a nigh) the room was surprisingly clean the water temp. and pres. great, yes the bathroom window faces an alley but so what. the service of my room and the staff was better than what we got later at palace hotel in madrid (where sheets were old and they didn't even leave a bar of soap for the tub and for westin prices you'd expect more) only problem is the walls are paper thin, it's a hip location with people coming back from parties after 3:00am and no way to avoid their happy drunk noises. so if you plan on being out in street until 3:00am or you are a heavy sleeper, it's a great spot, otherwise think twice.
