Overall a clean and tidy hotel which gave us value for money. public areas of hotel far better than individual bedrooms which could do with some maintenance.

Ideal location for a short weekend break. hotel central to shopping, plaza mayor and only a couple of minutes to sol metro station. take care using the metro as one of our party had her purse stolen from a zipped bag and spent about three hours reporting it at the police station. do the madrid vision bus tour, well worth the money to see the city.

Comfortable and clean hotel in excellent location. as madrid is still fully awake in the early hours, i found the police sirens, cars tooting, and some shouting stopped me from sleeping, so better double glazing would have helped. i cured the problem 100% with earplugs (and wine) second night! try higher up rooms if this worries you - we were 6th floor out of 8. if you plan to disco to dawn, then no worries! never tried the gym. breakfast pretty good. tiny lifts too cosy for most (but who cares?).

We stayed at the best western arosa for three nights. i looked for a hotel that was in the centre of the city and i could not have picked better. the hotel was in the middle of everything, we were suprised of how close everything was. we were impressed with the hotel, but we would class it as a good three star as it was missing a little something for the four stars. we found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and in a great location. the hotel staff were very helpful. the breakfast was included in our price and was very nice, although i would not have paid 13 euro's for it.
