We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. the room was very well-appointed with a very nice bathroom, and was goodmvalue for money. the really big advantage is the hotel's location, just across the canal from santa luzia railway station (though be prepared to lug your luggage over the bridge across the canal). the hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. our only small criticism is of the poor quality coffee at breakfast.

We had booked into their sister hotel antiche figure, however due to a double booking we were offered a move to this newer hotel just 800 yards further along the grand canal. the staff were very helpful and explained the advantages of this move as we would get a balcony as well as a canal view which we paid extra for. the room was compact as is everything in venice so very in keeping with the destination, but it was palatial for the price band of the hotel. the thing that made this hotel the best was not the facilities though it was the staff. they were helpful and understood our needs almost before we asked. they helped pick every restaurant for our 3 night stay from a quick local meal after a long flight day one, to an excellent restaurant, with well priced food that melted on your tongue, for our 20 year wedding anniversary celebration. the continental breakfast was excellent with a good choice and fabulous coffee options rather than a pot! they offered excellent advice on when and where to take a gondola ride so we got the best quality ride. the rooms were clean and the maid service was of a high standard also. anyone wanting an excellent stay in venice this is a great choice. a small tip is that this hotel is situated nearer the bus and train station, so get the number 5 bus form the airport rather than the water bus as that was very slow and arrived at the wrong end of the island.

We had stayed here six years ago and enjoyed the stay so we booked again, this time we were with two friends. as before it provided the perfect base from which to explore venice. located 5 minutes from the bus station (€3 from the airport) and opposite the railway station it is easy to get to however you arrive in venice. the reception staff are exceptionally helpful and all speak excellent english. within an hour of checking-in they had booked the restaurants we wanted for all four nights of our stay. we had two beautiful rooms in the annex which were well furnished and very quite. the breakfast had all you could want from a cold buffet. previously we had a room overlooking the grand canal which was lovely too. being opposite one of the largest vaporetto stops on the grand canal it was easy to get around and the walk back from the rialto through the back streets give you a chance to explore parts of venice not on the regular tourist route. all this and €20 for a bottle of prosecco, what more could you want?

I can't praise this hotel enough. we got the reservation through hotelsclick.com at a very reasonable rate compared to other web based hotel providers. we arrived in venice by train and the hotel is just the other side of the grand canal so the location was brilliant for us. it also only took us 10 minutes or so to walk to the rialto bridge and st mark's sq so couldn't fault the location. on arriving, for a small supplement, we took the opportunity to upgrade our room to one facing the grand canal. the room was spacious and elegant and enabled us to stand on a small balcony watching the world go by before venturing out ourselves. breakfast was a cold buffet continental style and everything there was very tasty as you would expect. the absolutely best thing about this hotel were the staff. from the moment we arrived through until the time we left everyone was very polite and very helpful guiding us though our first visit to venice and they really counldn't do any more for us. we would definitely return to this hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

We spent a very pleasant 4 days at the hotel the rooms were very nice.the breakfast was good and it set you up for a days sight seeing.the reception staff were very helpful and friendly, wether you asked directions or getting you a water taxi. i would recommend you get a good map, then you will be like everybody else, just wandering round looking dazed and confused as to where you are.then you can find another beautiful piazza with a small and friendly bar and rest your weary feet. .

Lovely hotel with both public and bedrooms in charming traditional venetial style, but all mod cons. staff delightful and ready to help with any query.we chose to take the room upgrade, to canal view, offered, and were glad we did, because, although you don't spend much time in your hotel room in a city as wonderful as venice, there was just so much pleasure in watching and listening to all the activity of the grand canal while getting ready. it was towards the end of our stay that we came to appreciate just how great the location is- so easy to get to when you first arrive, and because you know you will always be able to find it (because it is opposite train station), and a pleasant distance from s marco, you quickly become confident about exploring all the districts of the city, each of which has its distinct character and charm.

An excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. a good position on the canal opposite the station.don't upgrade on internet as upgraded rooms are offered at a better rate at the hotel and have excellent views. only fault was small dining room and coffee could have been hotter, otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

Right on the main grand canal this hotel was in a great location, only 5 minutes from venice main bus station. staff were very friendly and helpful, room were beautifully decorated and extremely clean.
