Discover Algiers

Algiers is the capital of Algeria and is the most important port in the country. The town's name derives from the Arabic word meaning "island", a cluster of small islands that are located in the area, now incorporated into the breakwater.

Algiers is situated on the southern coast of the Mediterranean Sea at the foot of the Atlas mountains. The climate is mild, the coldest months can have a temperature of 10 degrees, and the best months to visit are the summer ones.
