This fully renovated building has just been reopened in the summer of 2007. It is an excellent choice of accommodation for those wishing to stay in the shadow of the Acropolis and explore the old town area of Athens on foot without having to take any taxis or public transport. Hotel acropolis museum (homtel as they call it) is a charming little place. not mindblowingly great (and they're not pretending to be), but just fine: clean, well equipped rooms in a quirky building; and really, this is exactly what you need in athens, especially because its vicinity to metro, bus and monastiraki and the beds are exceptionally comfortable. so while the noise from busy syngrou can be a bit overwhelming and the snooty receptionist annoying for a couple of minutes, i would recommend this place if you're staying in athens for a couple of days.
