It is a good quality, popular hotel. Renovation works are still taking place on the 1st floor and some of the public areas, which are now expected to be completed in August 2008. I stayed over night at this hotel, with my wife, after travelling to brussels on the eurostar. i found the hotel to be clean and well appointed, the reception staff were very helpful and spoke very good english. the room had a double bed, which was on the firm side, and this was fine for me as i prefer that. the bathroom included soaps and shower gels, the shower was clean and powerful. at the time of booking we were told that there would be a cold buffet breakfast, but were surprised to find a selection of cooked breakfast available. the only downside was that we were asked for a credit card or 50 euro deposit against any incurred costs. i did not have a credit card with me and as this was only an overnight stay i had only 100 euro on me for the entire trip. my debit card was accepted.
