Barbados is an island country located on the border between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, between St Lucia and St Vincent & the Grenadines.

The climate is characterized by the alternation of a rainy season (from June to November) and a dry one (from December to May); temperatures do not vary much throughout the year, with a minimum base of 22°C.

The capital is Bridgetown, and the spoken languages are English and Bajan, the Creole language of the island.
Barbados is currently a member of the Commonwealth, as it was a British colony until the mid-60s.
