August 2009 bank holdiay weekend

The situation is excellent for the city centre. the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. the breakfasts are excellent. the staff are really friendly and very helpful. the nominated car park was hard to find though and we ended up parking in a different one that was without the hotel discount.

January in manchester

I visited manchester for four nights with my son who is on the autistic spectrum and therefore wanted to go back to same place as we had visited some years earlier. some of the reviews i had read made me wonder if i had made the right decision but the visit confirmed that i had. the staff were really patient with us and we had a room upgrade (presumably just because the hotel was so quiet are we were staying longer than average) which made all the difference.

A favourite hotel

This is one of my favourite hotels anywhere in the country. the welcome from the staff always makes you feel special and they remember you! the rooms are spacious and well appointed and the food excellent. the only drawback is that because it is situated on a busy corner it can be a bit noisy. but i will be back there on my next visit to manchester!

Hotels in manchester city centre

Princess on portland is located about 10 minutes walk from manchester piccadilly train station. it is centrally located in the city with easy access to venues where events may be held. the hotel is of a reasonable standard and the staff are very friendly. breakfast was self-serve unless you had a specific need which they would prepare on request. the hotel has wireless internet access from most areas.

Review

The bedrooms were a little bit shabby but the bathrooms were very nice. the main problem was the noise from the main road which was quite disruptive during the night
