Discover Trapani

Trapani is the main city of one of the provinces of Sicily in southern Italy, and it is one of its most western cities with Marsala. Trapani is definitely an interesting tourist destination: the city has a unique geographical position, being located between the mountain (Mount Erice) and the sea, and in front of the Egadi archipelago, whose most important islands are Favignana, Marettimo and Levanzo.
Among the tourist attractions in Trapani there are the Basilica-Sanctuary of Maria Santissima Annunziata, the Baroque palace of Giudecca and the Cathedral, dating from the seventeenth century.

In the surroundings of Trapani there are many tourist attractions, among which we have to mention the magnificent Nature Reserve Saline di Trapani e Paceco, managed by the Italian Association for the WWF, and the Salt Museum in Nubia (fraction of Paceco) on the road to Marausa.
Among the most beautiful places in the province of Trapani there are Erice, the beautiful Egadi islands, San Vito Lo Capo, well-known for its Cous Cous Fest that takes place every year in September, and Selinunte, with its Archaeological Park and the ruins of the ancient greek settlement.
