Guyana is a sovereign state on the northern coast of South America. Along with being part of the Anglophone Caribbean, Guyana is one of the few Caribbean countries that is not an island. The territory controlled by Guyana lies between latitudes 1° and 9°N, and longitudes 56° and 62°W. Guyana is divided into 10 regions.
