The hotel is perfectly positioned to get your paris trip off to a start being 100m's from the point you get off the eurostar at gare du nord. from there the metro is mere feet from the hotel from door so paris is your oyster. the hotel is old and is now showing its age. simple make overs of carpet and bathroom grout are well over due- to the point that it could risk loosing a star. the beds are however super comfy and the rooms are clean. this hotel could be so much more but it's location is the over riding steal. bars are a short walk. and the restaurant below the hotel- terminus nord is fantastic! all in all the hotel just needs a little parisian love. would i recommend the hotel? for location and getting out and about-yes. for a romantic get away- maybe not??
