We wanted a cheap-ish place to stay for the night (but we didn't want to stay in a hostel), and travelodge was the prefect place! we drove, and there was free parking so that was a pleasant surprise. we also chose the breakfast deal - breakfast isn't anything fancy, but it's definitely enough. the hotel is close enough to the town centre for you to walk to all the major attractions. it took us about 10 min to walk. there's also a strip mall (tk max, next, etc) opposite the hotel, as well as tesco's, although you can't really cook in the hotel room cos there's no facilities, but if you wanna grab a quick snack that's useful too! the hotel does have its own 24h food service though. there's also a domino's beside it if you get hungry! but seriously, if all you're looking for is a good night's sleep (i.e. your hotel is the base to explore other areas), give travelodge a try - you won't regret it! you'll have all the facilities you'll ever need for a decent stay :)
