We stayed at this hotel for a weekend and we were very impressed. lovely clean room with. view of the river. breakfast was amazing . great location. would definitely recommend

A very pleasant stay, very helpful staff. bar prices a little expensive even for hotel rates, however a nice clean place and good location. if there was one minor critism it would be there was not enough sockets in the room. only one single.in todays age whereby people need laptop's tablets, phones etc had to charge in relays. this would not stop me using or recommending this hotel.

If you want a hotel that's central, clean,friendly,great breakfast, then this is the one for you. we had a professional greeting when we arrived, lovely room , excellent location for all shopping bars tec. would definitely return, great value for money.

And book into park inn by radisson just along the riverbank from the queens. it is far superior to this hotel in every regard, despite also being graded a 3*. only pros were location and room size. food bland, staff surly & lethargic; appeared to just be "going through the motions". customer service is not their forte!

This is our fifth time at this hotel. the service is excellent, nothing is a problem at reception, the restaurant staff are friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and the rooms were clean and a good size.

Stayed here in a twin room with my daughter for 1 night midweek. this is a great value hotel in an excellent position for all there is to do in york. the rooms are spacious with a double and a single bed in a twin room, tea coffee making facilities, tv, phone, table and chairs, desk, bathroom with shower and bath plus hair dryer. wifi also available. breakfast nice everything is self service including tea and coffee. reception friendly and welcoming and this time unlike the last time i stayed the barman at night was lovely and friendly.also you can leave your bags at reception until your room is ready and even when you checkout for pick up later.

Hotel was clean and excellent value for money. the hotel is right on the river in the centre of the city. room was similar stardard to a premier inn/travel lodge. we paid a £10 charge to park in the hotel car park which was a fantastic rate for a city hotel. can't comment on breakfast as we missed it due the comfy beds and pillows. would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the queens hotel in york the hotel staff made you feel very welcome as soon as we arrived, the location of this hotel is perfect for all your needs it is central to shops restraunts boat trips york minster museams plenty of pubs around i would defiantly recommend this hotel food to a very high standard, reception staff very helpfull excellent will be going again with freinds

Good location on the river close to everything and good for the price compared to th other hotels else in york . the shower is poor though, i got more water on me outside in the rain than i did in the shower!

Hotel is ideally situated close to the town . we found the rooms clean and spacious , breakfast was ample self service, staff were friendly and helpful , for a city break ideal will be back next year

We have stayed at this hotel previously and the staff always give a warm welcome to their guests and also let you leave your luggageif the room is not ready when you arrive and also when you leave. it's in a convenient location (5 minutes walk into the centre of york and right on the riverside), the rooms are clean and comfortable and it is fairly quiet considering it is so close to the city centre. if you want to catch a bus (or drive) to mcarthur glen outlet centre it is only 15 minutes away.

Have stayed at the queens on many occasions and have not been disappointed. the hotel is clean & comfortable but is a little dated. the location is superb and it's good value for money. it wasn't possible to park in the hotel car park due to the river being in flood and the nearest car park is a few minutes walk away, which isn't ideal but it's not the end of the world either!

Not happy when we got there we were told that we were not on the list and they dident have any rooms left for us. i was very disappointed as this was my wifes birthday, so they gave us an apartment over the road yes it was clean tidy etc but it wasent a hotel they never told us when to check out, we were booked to have breakfast but again nothing was mentioned to us, my wife asked the next morning when we were leaving about the breakfast there reply was you should have just come over to the hotel iam afraid not good enough very disappointed. to top this off the room had 2 single beds when we had booked a double.

Great hotel just across the bridge from the city centre, within walking distance of all the main sights, train station and lots of bars/pubs and restaurants. good value for money. breakfast was buffet but very good produce. room was a lot bigger than we expected and we were able to check in early and leave our bags the next day. would definitely stay here again.is also one of the few places for a one night stay in york.
