Weekend break

We stayed 2 nights in the baileys, apparently there is some refurb work being undertaken but didn't notice this at all, right from the off, staff were very friendly and took time ensure that we had all the required information, bed was really comfortable and slept really well on both nights, noise in the bedroom was minimal for a london hotel. breakfast on both mornings was excellent and staff once again all very friendly and helpful, had drinks in the bar late one evening and bar was busy and had a nice atmosphere. on bringing our bags down at end of stay prior to checking out, concierge asked if we would like our bags storing, we did, thought this was a nice touch.

A great stay

Overall a great stay in a lovely hotel, great location, friendly staff when spoken to. there were a few small things that could have made our stay better and given better ratings for the hotel. 1. i booked my wife and i in for 4 nights b&b, but 3 times we came down to breakfast and they had only one person booked for the breakfast. 2. at breakfast we were always asked if we wanted tea or coffee straight away which was great but a few times we had to ask for milk, or take from another table. 3. the room was tidy and comfortable, but the view was the worst i've ever seen in a hotel. we overlooked a tiny, dark, dirty back exit. but having said that it was very quiet, no traffic from the main road etc, but we kept the mesh curtain closed at all times.

Very good hotel in a superb location

I have stayed at the millennium baileys twice and have found it probably the best i have stayed at, in this particular price category. rooms are fairly spacious for london and i love the victorian style bathrooms. beds are very comfortable. staff extremely friendly and helpful. front desk deserves special commendation. one slight negative point was room servicing. when i stayed last year, after four days, the sheets were not changed (not sure if there is a policy of sheet changing after a certain number of days?). this year, on one day, even though we were out of the room from 11 till 2:15 with the 'make up my room' sign on the door, the room had not been serviced when we came back, and as room servicing finishes at 4, we ended up not having the room serviced at all. bath robe and slippers would be a nice touch - other hotels in this category often supply these nowadays. internet is only free in the lobby, otherwise you have to pay 10 pounds per day. these days, most hotels, even in a lower category, have free internet. free inernet would definitely up my impression of the hotel a notch or two. location is excellent - literally a few seconds over the road to gloucester road tube. there are plenty of handy shops, coffee shops and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. a 10 to 15 minute stroll along the gloucester road, brings you to kensington high street (try fait maison for brunch). also walking distance to museums. will definitely stay there again.

Sehr zentrales und gutes mittelklasse -hotel

Wer gerne zentral in einem hotel in einer weltstadt wohnt, ist mit diesem hotel an der richtigen adresse. das hotel ist klassisch, schön und sauber. es ist alles mit liebe gemacht und dekoriert. das morgenessen ist sehr gut und reichhaltig. die u-bahn ist direkt auf der anderen strassenseite welche einem rasch an alle sehenswürdigkeiten führt. auch die umliegenden restaurants sind sehr gut. einkaufsmöglichkeiten hat man auch gleich gegenüber und bei der u- bahn. die umliegende gegend gehört zu einer der schönsten in london. wirklich sehr empfehlenswert!

London hotel

Location great , rooms are " adequete " staff really helpful , i suppose if you can put up with the rooms , the location is what it made for us , walking distance to most sight's , tube station across the road , and some great restruants close-by on brompton road , 2nd time at hotel and will use again .

Perfetto!!!

L'hotel e' perfetto per passare qualche giorno a londra, e' posizionato in una zona tranquilla e molto carina, si puo` andare a cena a piedi. la colazione e'ottima, le stanze spaziose e pulite. molto gentili alla reception. ci tornero` certamente.

Jederzeit wieder

An diesem hotel gibt es nichts zu meckern. preis/leistung (ca. 155 euro pro nacht/zimmer inkl. frühstück) waren absolut in ordnung. wir werden bei unseren nächsten london-aufenthalt dieses hotel wieder buchen.

Très bon hôtel

Excellent hôtel au pied du métro donc idéal pour découvrir londres. prix très corrects, mais les prestations s'apparentent plus à un 3 étoile, d'ailleurs très bon. c'est propre, le personnel est sympathique et prévenant, c'est calme. l'hôtel a un cachet classique et une architecture victorienne très agréable, beaucoup mieux qu'un hôtel moderne comme le holiday inn à deux pas, beaucoup plus moche et impersonnel. seul petit regret : le petit déjeuner est certes copieux, mais la salle est exigüe et les clients se marchent un peu sur les pieds, surtout aux heures de pointe (9h à 10h le week end).

Perfetto per londra

La posizione e' decisamente il punto di forza di questo hotel, che e' proprio di fronte alla stazione metro. la zona e' tranquilla e ben servita. le stanze sono piu` grandi rispetto agli standard della citta` e non manca nulla. la colazione e' ottima e varia.

Nice hotel on top location

Nice and frendly hotel on top location. it's located direktly at the cloucester tube-station. there is the post and different restaurants and stores also near by.the room was clean and the hotel-staff was friendly.

Très bon séjour

Très bon rapport qualité prix pour le quartier, chambre standard pas très spacieuse mais très cosy. emplacement idéal pour visiter londres, juste à côté d'une station de métro, ligne directe pour aller à la gare. quartier très vivant, avec des restos à proximité

Séjour très agréable

Great stay!

This is a great hotel! the staff were very helpful and professional and the room that we had was lovely. we upgraded to a deluxe room and it was huge and extremely comfortable. the location is excellent, being directly opposite gloucester road tube station - makes getting around london very easy indeed. in summary, a fantastic hotel which exceeded expectations - would definitely stay here again on a trip to london.

Good hotel in the good location

Excellent hotel good location especially as it was close to the undergrount station breakfast good , but the same breakfast every day the area around the hotel have many services (supermarket, restaurants, laundries clothes) large room and wide

Good service is not just about being polite

Arrived for late check in (23.30) having phoned ahead due to train delay. had to wait 20 minutes as duty manager unavailable, only to be told that i'd been moved to sister hotel next door, and then had to wait all over again for check in. tv didn't work in the room which was an added irritation when wanting to chill after long journey. all staff polite but system didn't work for me.

Reception staff friendly. room large and comfortable (we were upgraded although i don't know why). right opposite tube station. only problem was queues for breakfast especially on sunday morning.

Great hotel

Great hotel at a resonable price. our tripple room was spaceous and airy. the breakfast was lovely and the staff was attending and friendly. the gloucester road tube station is just cross the road, and there are busstops, pubs, resturants and tesco just outside the door.

Baileys brilliant!

A great location for shopping at the famous harrods store and strolling the v & a and natural history museum. there are plenty of restaurants and bars all within a couple of minutes stroll. pluis extrememly handy for the tube with the entrance to gloucester directly opposite the hotel. well worth a stay.

Millennium

Check-in was ok. concierge was very helpful and knew a lot. breakfast was efficient and above average. bed comfortable, although reading in bed was difficult because of the bad position of side-lamps. we had a quiet room but there was quite a noise when using the hot tap/shower. the whole floor we were staying on was in process of refurbishment, so i imagine the bathroom problem will be addressed. yes i would stay again at the rate we were given. prices can be steep. position cannot be faulted. hogel is right opposite to gloucester road tube station, plus sandwich bars, waitrose/tesco and boots all to hand within two minutes.

Nice victorian hotel

I loved the architecture. friendly staff, they gave me the opportunity to change of room. the first room they offered me was too small, the carpet was fixed, not a 4 star worth. however second room was really okay. just the quality of mattresses was somewhat questionable

Lovely hotel

I spent hours looking for a hotel on the internet and with the millennium bailey it was all worth it. the staff were all very friendly which i didn't expect from a london hotel and the location opposite gloucester road tube was perfect. just 5 mins walk away from the v and a, science and natural history museum, which are all free!
