Know what you are paying for.

My wife and i went there for a weekend away. we were unaware that this is a condo complex with most of the condos being rented to other people. we were looking for a full service resort, but here there was no food or drink on the property. the room was a studio and was comfortable. the items we ran up against was the first dish we pulled out had dried egg on it and we saw cockroaches in the room. when we got back from dinner, there was a cockroach in front of the vanity on its back, still alive. the complex is older and dated, so it is harder to control things like the cockroaches no matter how many times you spray. i think finding the dirty plate was not a good sign, and there is not a dishwasher, which made us question the cleanliness of all the plates and dishes. one other item is the ac. it is a window/wall unit and is very difficult to control the temperature. we woke up one night freezing cold, turned it down, and then we were sweating. it was not all negative. the staff is very friendly and accommodating. the complex is located just south of el paseo drive, which has many shops and restaurants and is the high end of shopping. we did enjoy sitting in the room and looking at the mountain view over the other building.
