Este simpático hotel para toda la familia fue renovado en 2004 y dispone en cuatro plantas de un total de 64 habitaciones, de ellas 7 suites. Ofrece a sus huéspedes un amplio hall de entrada, recepción abierta las 24 horas con servicio de caja fuerte y de cambio de divisa, un guardarropas, un... Memorable!
About the hotel: this was our first time in madeira and my husband and i decided we should be in the old town because it is usually where people hang out. we found out that the old town of funchal is quiet enough at night. although there are some "pockets" of gatherings that you can join in, it is more a place for the people interested in fully enjoy the day rather than the night. if you are a night person, by all means go to lido (the new downtown). although you can walk to lido from quinta bela de sao thiago, it is a good 15 to 20 minutes walk. the views from the rooms are stunning! every room has a view of the ocean. and the rooms are also very spacious. breakfast was good and offered options of cold and hot items. try their croissant, their banana spread and the crepe! the staff was very helpful and extremely nice and warm. i felt at home. it is definitely worth going back to madeira and staying at this hotel - and we are already making plans... about the island: madeira island is a must! however, even if you are a night person, i would highly recommend not to miss the many natural attractions the island offers during the day. canyoning and jeep tour in special. an then, there is the wine! famous all over the world, the madeira wine is like a porto wine, only made in madeira ;-). and the fruits, and the people,...
