Hotel is conveniently situated just up the road from hauptbahnhof. the interior is contemporary in decor and our room very clean, however, it was a rather odd narrow t-shape with a huge fire escape in front of our window which blocked out a lot of natural light. this was rather disappointing given that we had informed the hotel the trip was to celebrate our wedding anniversary. breakfast was good and served until 11.00 am. the free travel cards provided at check-in were a real bonus. we used them to take the tram to oberkassel and the the train to essen. we also used them to take the s11 back to the airport. overall this is a good 3star hotel, though our stay would have been more enjoyable had we not had a view of the fire escape.
