Weekend in essex

Attractive hotel with wonderful staff offering an excellent service

We stayed here on saturday 9th november. we had come down from yorkshire to visit family and as a treat booked an extra room for them. we were really impressed with the hotel inside and out. the lady on reception was delightful and we joked together about the hotel being haunted.we were handed a brochure on the history of the hotel, which was a lovely idea. all the staff we saw were very friendly and professional and there was a lovely atmosphere.

This is an excellent hotel

Having stayed twice here now i am pleased to say that the standards are excellent, the location so convenient to the m25 and the staff very helpful. the rooms are well provisioned and comfortable.

Good value venue

We had a lovely room with a small seating area. it was comfortable and sufficiently spacious for our one night stay. a large wardrobe and iron and ironing board for those so inclined. the continental breakfast was included in this stay and was quite generous with as much tea/coffee as required, a range of cereals, breads (croissants) yoghourt and fruit.

Needed a place in brentwood and knew of marygreen manor but had never visited there before. a friendly welcome and an excellent room were on offer and the experience was great.

Marygreen manor brentwood

We had an excellent stay here for my son's 16th birthday treat. it was a fantastic location, beautiful hotel and at a great price. our rooms were situated next to a lovely courtyard and garden and the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had at a hotel.

The rooms where of a really high standard of furnishing aroung a relaxing garden. the staff were freindly and helpful at all times during our staf.

Excellent venue

Our group of 30 celebrated a family birthday here. the food and service was first class. the private function room was perfect for the occasson. our overnight accommodation in the courtyard rooms was good.

Very nice

For the price paid, nothing to complain about. rooms werenice although the bathroom was very cold. the restaurant is very pricey however there is a cheap harvester right across the road. the breakfast in the hotel was one of the nicest i've tasted with very good service.

Absolutely rubbish

I got what i thought was a great deal on the marygreen manor through an instant confirmation booking. when my husband arrived at the hotel he was told they didn't have our reservation. on checking they found that the day after i booked. they'd notified hotelclick they were full and we'd been moved to the holiday inn next to the m25/a12. i'd chosen this hotel as i wanted somewhere quiet. if it wasn't annoying/inconvenient enough that we'd been moved and not told, the holiday inn couldn't find our reservation either. it was only through a gold priority card we got a room. i should have taken my own advice- if something is so cheap it seems too good to be true it usually is! please note that the points attached to this review relate to hotelclick not marygreen manor

Hotel break

I accompanied my family to a wedding in the area.my stay was even more memorable because i elected to stay here.staff were very helpful, dining experience wonderful fantastic atmosphere.
