Lovely and helpful staff

The hotel is a bit dated and basic. it isnt a 3 star compared to international standards but the staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful.

El peor hotel de la habana

Es un cucarachero. dentro de las habitaciones se ven las cucarachas andar. los pasillos huelen siempre a basura. los colores de las paredes son horribles (paredes, sábanas y cortina de color amarillo encendido). y la luz del cuarto ea un bombillo muy pequeño que casi no alumbra y también amarillo. no hacen una buena limpieza de la habitación. cuando llegamos la ducha estaba sucia. el desayuno no era bueno tampoco, la variedad muy poca. era mejor salir y buscar comida fuera.

It's most terrible hotel i ever visited. never go there! dirty rooms, not regular change of towels (they can be dirty, by the way), insects in the room and bath... don't spend your time and money for this hotel!

Hotel médiocre pour un ***

L’hôtel se trouve dans une zone délabrée et bruyante. il est dit 3 étoiles (***) mais ça correspond à peine à une étoile en france. l'eau des douches ne coulent presque pas. nous n'avions pas de lumière dans toute les pièces et la douille était cassée, donc pas possible de juste changer l'ampoule. le petit déjeuner est de médiocre qualité et toujours la même chose. les chambres sont en mauvaise état et les ouvertures fonctionnent mal. l’ascenseur n'était pas en marche une journée et il fallait faire les 8 étages à pieds. le personnel était sympa au moins. bref c'est trop cher pour le service offert et la position en ville, à éviter.

Nie mehr - das beste ist das frühstück

So gut es in der beschreibung tönt so sehr schlecht ist es. nach 22 stunden reise wollte man mir ein zimmer im 7. stock anbieten obwohl beide fahrstühle (der eine seit langer zeit) defet waren. nach venandeln gab man mir ein zimmer im 3- stock und meinte der fahrstuhl funktioniere wieder in 20 minuten. nach 1 stunde in der lobby sitzend geschah nichts. musste 2 x bitten damit mir jemand die koffer hoch trägt (habe läddierten rücken). allgemein ist das hotelverkommen und der manager interesseirt sich für fast nichts. wie fast überall in kuba sind die klimaanlagen sehr laut, darum wollte ich sie auf ein minimum stellen, die ist so hoch montiert dass man auf das bett stehen muss (remotecontrol gibt es nicht). hatte dabei etwas die balance verloren und wollte mich am fenster abstützen das sich gleich nach aussen in den hinterhof öffnete. nur mit glück blieb ich am fenstersims hängen, sonst wäre ich in den hinterhof gerstürzt. das fenster hat zwar eine schliessvorrichtung aber keine beschläge !!! und öffnet sich als todesfalle nach aussen. als ichg in der4. nacht im dunkeln aufstand glitt ich aus und fiel zum glück mit dem kopf auf das bett. das zimmer stand mit 3 cm unter wasser. das wasser kam von aussen über den etageboden rein. bis es gereinigt wurde dauerte es ca. 2 stunden obwohl ich 3 x reklamiert hatte und der maager meinte er wüsste wegen der überschwemmung seit 02:00 in der nacht und habe einfach das wasser abgestellt. das wasser und das fenster isnd kriminell.

Schmuddelig ungepflegt

Das hotel ist schmuddelig, ungepflegt, das personal schlecht geführt, lustlos. frische handtücher gab es auch nicht auf anforderung. das wurst, käse und schinken liegen 3 stunden in der wärme auf dem frühstücksbüfett, z.b. haare auf dem spiegelei werden nach reklamation mit dem finger enfernt, das spiegelei wird dann wieder aufs büfett gelegt (!) schade, jedes casa particulares ist besser geführt und i.d.r. blitzsauber.

Nice hotel. shady area

Hotel was nice. breakfast was simple and a bit of a let down. views of city were lovely. area that it was in was kind of central... short walk to the main promenade but didn't feel comfortable walking around at night.

Get what you pay for

Hotel needs refurbishment or at the very least some decent repairs doing. i did temporary repairs to the bed and the toilet. the staff knew about the bed so don't know how long they plan on keeping it in that state. on the plus side, its cheap within walking distance of a lot of the main plazas and its a reasonable breakfast. the live music in the bar on saturday night is very loud - don't expect to get to sleep early. it was ok for one night but not for any longer.

Don't bother, go elsewhere.

I booked this hotel for 3 days until planned the rest of our trip. it was awful and a very unpleasant introduction to cuba. my friend was arriving 3 hours after me which i explained to reception staff who took the paper with the info and put it with my room info. when my friend arrived he was put in a different room and took 2 days to find him. totally fobbed off by staff. a very upsetting and worrying experience . the place is dirty and the rooms disintergrating and as for the service.... there isn't any. the noise is bad but i can cope with that but the knocking on room doors throughout the night is not acceptable.

Central hotel but poor services

First room given to us was a building site but hotel was full so we had to stay in it, the next day we were given a slightly better room but very basic. building work was going on two of the floors and they started early ! breakfast was simple but the staff were non-attentive, on the last day there breakfast area was full and the staff did everything to not take notice of us. the hotel was located close to the old area of havana but after walking about for a day we spotted several more central hotels which certainly looked better than the lincoln.

Terrifying experience ...

Hello ! terrifying experience … one of the rooms had a missing toilet seat. nothing was done about it despite annonce was made to the staff. could not close the toilet door in any of the four rooms we had, they didn’t fit in to the door frame. it didn’t rain in to the rooms it was more like a flood of rainwater through the. staff was nice but they didn’t do anything about the “toilet thing” in those two nights we stayed leif s sweden

Bad!

The room was not clean - especially not the bathroom! there were moisture damage several places in the room and the paint literally peeled of the walls when you touch them. the staff behaved condescendingly and racist to my cuban friends who visited. i cannot recommend this hotel to anybody!

Don't stay here!!

This hotel is terrible, i'm not a hotel snob by any standard but this hotel is appalling. the rooms are filthy, the beds are uncomfortable, the pillows are thinner than a slice of bread. then it got worse, i stayed there for 7 nights and never got a hot shower, plus the shower head was broken, the toilet consistently blocks up and it was so noisy due to the hoards of people drinking and yelling out the front of the hotel all night, but that's ok because the staff were rude, and modified bar pricing to suit their mood, as well as horrible food for breakfast. i really have nothing positive to say, location was good, that's all.

Very bad rooms

I would never stay there again. toilet broken, door to room could not open more then half, door to balcony could not be locked. noting nice to say about the room.

If you really need to go there, be prepared

The hotel is in a quite impressive building and i would say also very close to the havana vieja, so in a very good position. the hall is also very nice and the staff helpfull but unfortunately the rooms are horrible and it seems they are falling down around you. very badly manteined. we booked 3nights at a very good price, so i you really dont have a choice, go there but please be prepared as quality is really bad and i would say hotel is not even 1star. there is an absolute highlight and it is the place where the breakfast is served. the view worth it :)

Une heure pour se laver car presque pas d eau. sanitaires et plomberie cassées, vieillotte et branlante. déjeuner plus que moyen c est simple on est allée ailleurs, idem pour la chambre malgré que l on nous ai donné une deuxième (même problème que la chambre 1) 1ascenseur sur 2 qui fonctionnait

Lincoln hotel

A basic, but perfectly adequate hotel with high standards of cleanliness even though the rooms are a little worn. the location is perfect, within easy walking distance of both the old town and the university area. the reception staff were helpful and friendly. the included breakfast had a good choice and was served on the terrace on the 9th floor offering spectacular views of the city. the only downside was that 2 days the lift was out, needing exercise getting to breakfast! there were few frills at the hotel but recommended for a short stay on a limited budget.

I love this hotel!

Hotel lincoln is very well situated in centro habana, 10 minutes walk to habana vieja. some people say you have to take care walking in the streets i centro habana. during my 10 stays there, nothing has happened. children play in the streets, people sit outside their homes. the best about this hotel is the staff: they will receive you like a family member: a god morning kiss on your cheek, ask you if you slept well,about your family. they do apreciate if you speek a little spanish! and if you happen to be there for the first of may they will invite you to go with them in the morning to the celebration at the revolutionnary square
