We have just spent 4 nights at the herodion and found the service excellent. the hotel appears to be an older hotel that has been renovated. it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. we were extremely pleased with our acropolis view room which was generous in size with comfortable furnishings. the bathrooms are a little outdated but perfectly functional and spotlessly clean. we had a nice little balcony to also admire the view of the acropolis. all the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. we had a problem with one of the tours we had booked and the concierge went out of their way to sort the problem for us for which we were most grateful as we were leaving the following day and would have missed out otherwise. we enjoyed dinner at the point restaurant on the rooftop terrace which had excellent food and was great value for money. we also enjoyed drinks on the terrace on another occasion taking in the marvellous views of the acropolis and the nearby acropolis museum - a must for all history lovers. the location of the hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the museum and the akropoli metro station which made it very easy to get about the city. a good choice if you don't want to be in the thick of the tourist district but able to easily access it.
