Good hotel at great price - for london
This is clearly not a standard london hotel with the usual range of facilities, but very comfortable. the decor is not particularly snazzy but perfectly unobjectionable. unlike some reviews i have seen our room was large and my only criticism was that there was no air con, as a result, the room was a little hot during the night but wecoukdn't open the window because of typical london street noise. i realise that air on units can be a problem in listed buildings in london, but ceiling fans would help in these circumstances. you have to pay for wifi, which frankly i find irritating and insulting. it didn't matter to meas i have anenglish contract on my mobile with full data downloads so i could use my phone's data link to run my ipad. but if i had been an overseas visito this would have been a major irritation. most smaller hotels realise the importance of this - why don't the large chains catch on. continental breakfast was included n the price was fine, but i certainly would no have paid £17 for the reconstituted ham and tasteless cheese
