We had splendid large room on 6th floor. clean, comfortable, decent shower, seating area. the hotel has character from the 1920's - good choice for the buffet breakfast, pleasant polite helpful staff, quiet and a very short stroll if you're arriving on the train. famous whiskey bar and decent evening menu to boot

Hotel very old, cheap. bathroom ver little and tint. staff not particulary nice. only good point: in front of the train station. 10mn walker to the old city. wouldn't necessary recommend if if you look for a modern hotel.

Un hotel veramente straordinario. essendo del 1928, ti sembra di rivivere e rivedere certi tempi andati. posizione centralissima, reception accogliente, personale molto accomodante e cortese. unica cosa leggermente negativa, ma comunque da voto 7 è la colazione, un po' inferiore a livello dell'hotel.

Il riscontro è stato molto negativo rispetto alle aspettative per un hotel a 4 stelle. camera piccola, posizione pessima (su una strada molto trafficata e rumorosa), bagno piccolo. mancanza di aria condizionata (sembra assurdo, ma in norvegia nella prima settimana di luglio 2008, per il caldo inusuale, c'era bisogno di aria condizionata). per fortuna ho dormito solo 2 notti!

I found hotel very charming, in a great convient location, service was great, staff was courtious and helpful, room was small for 3 people but was adequate.

Location excellent, prices good compared with others. rated at 4 star which applies to most of the hotel other than the room we had. this was a double, but in fact appeared to be a converted single with only access to the bed from one side and the bedside light directly over the outer side. bathroom small and hanging space for clothes very limited. no tea/coffee making facilities in room but available all day in the lounge and from the breakfast restaurant from 06.45am. included breakfast buffet varied and good quality. lots of rooms undergoing renovation.
