Nice room but poor service

Food and coffee poor. service attitude leaves a lot to be desired. room was nice. pet free floor, that was difficult to confirm. location is excellent next to independence hall. bar on the roof seems to be a big attraction but we didn't use it.

Best location but didn't meet expectation for kid services

This hotel was very nice. definitely a 4 star in many ways especially the location which is perfect if you want to see the sights around the liberty bell and independence hall. you are literally across the street. the service was very good, but kimpton advertised a number of amenities for kids that turned out not to be available during our visit which was very disappointing: - no gift for kids provided - no fish friend as advertised by saying 'guppy love' - no robe his size - no kids treats on friday during wine hour. only offered on saturday during our stay which was ridiculous to provide wine and seafood item for adults and nothing for the kids to eat. the decor of the hotel was charming, but the room was very small. i think i over paid since i booked a room a week prior to my stay and the rooms were almost gone. other than the false advertising for kids, we had a good stay and would recommend this hotel due to its charm and location.

Best hotel i've had the pleasure of staying in

This hotel is absolutely amazing. i could not possibly fault it. location is adjacent to the heritage national park, you could not be closer. room decor is amazing, the pictures do not lie. staff were terrific. attached restaurant also great.

L'hôtel est superbe et on me peut demander un meilleur emplacement. le décor est très "différent" on aime ou on n'aime pas, moi j'ai adoré !

Fancy place

I checked in at 230 and checked out at 630. wish i could stay longer. very, very professional staff. it's not the newest or trendiest. i would mostly say this is a place for the business traveler.

Great stay in a beautiful hotel!

Our room was beautiful - nice decorations and very comfortable. we enjoyed the wine hour in the lobby, as well as the lovely roofdeck. the neighborhood around the hotel is lovely for walking.

What a happy & delightful hotel

after booking a king size room with hotelsclick, and reading advice on line, we phoned the hotel to arrange for a park view room. i was told that because we usied a "third party", requests might not be possible. however, a day or two later, we received a phone call from the hotel telling us that they had indeed upgraded our room to a park view and that it would be gratis! this hotel is just one year old. its spirit and friendliness abound. from the moment we arrived, the staff was happy to make our stay wonderful. we drove up to the front of the hotel, and were instantly, and delightfully greeted by brad who made parking arrangements for our car, took our bags, and escorted us to the front desk. rob w., the guest service, surprised us with two tickets for complimentary breakfast at the red owl tavern, located inside the hotel. this breakfast was not a small continental one. it was a complete one, of our choice, made to order by their chefs, with juice and coffee included. the hotel monaco is decorated with a flare of creating delightful visual effects. our accommodations were small but luxurious, modern, tasteful, and eclectic. amenities abounded with a large walk-in shower, elegant toiletries and bathrobes. our room faced the park with a view of the liberty bell, and independence hall, plus the location was perfect, in walking distance to museums, restaurants, and horse carriage rides. the hotel has a complimentary 5pm wine hour and offers a rooftop lounge that is a special attraction. it was my husband’s birthday, and to his delight and utter surprise, rob w., at the guest service took note of this and had wine, a slice of decadent chocolate cake, and fruits, placed in our room, along with a hand written happy birthday card from rob! what a thoughtful surprise! nothing could have made his birthday happier. what thoughtful management! the service, the atmosphere, the location of hotel monaco and especially the staff, made this trip memorable and wonderful. we cannot wait to return again.

Great hotel. perfect service.

Booked this hotel on the fly for a 1 night stay with my daughter. from the second we pulled up we were treated like we were the only ones at this hotel. cheery faces, eager to help get us situated. the room was spacious and fun. ammenities were top notch and thoughtful. i would really have no reason to stay anywhere else when i am visiting philadelphia.

Weekend getaway

Location was fantastic. reception was quick and easy....they even let us check in at 10:00am which was a pleasant and very welcome surprise. rooms were large...great décor!
