El río Merced es salvaje y ventoso y esta detrás del refugio, el río es muy renombrado para hacer rafting en sus aguas blancas. El parque nacional de Yosemite, la montaña maravillosa, ofrece caminatas, escalar rocas, pesca, avistaje de aves, avistaje de animales salvajes, andar en bicicleta,... If unable to stay in the park, this is your next best option, though a pricey one. for 250/nite, we had an average, 90s vintage hotel room with two full beds and a kitchenette with a small fridge and microwave, no view. id say pay a few extra bucks for the river view rooms, the merced is beautiful! there were two decent restaurants, a pizza shop and an all purpose type restaurant that were both pretty good. several pools and hot tubs scattered throughout the property were enjoyable, however, the whole property has the feel of neglect. a make over is due, but if this is your only option, go for the river view and enjoy!
