This is an excellent hotel if you are visiting the nec complex or lg arena. the bedroom was excellent. large tv set (lg of course!) bed comfortable. breakfast excellent. only setback was the bar service in the afternoon. i order a latte and lemon drizzle cake. it took over 25 minutes for a waiter to take my order. the latte arrived. no cake. 10 mins later, a slice of cake was given to another customer who said she hadn't ordered it but was told she could keep it anyway. after i complained, a slice a cake was finally bought to me. nearly an hour had gone by. i was told that they would not charge for the coffee because of the wait. then they gave me the bill for the cake which should have been £2.00 but the bill was for £6.95 including an added 10% service charge. when pointed out, again apologies and no charge for the cake. however, i would have liked the cake and coffee when i went into the bar.
