Great experience!

We arrived here after a long trip with several delays – without our luggage. on check-in, we were upgraded from the city hotel to hotel euler. the upgrade included 2 glasses of prosecco and 2 transit passes. dinner in the restaurant was a little pricey but the food was outstanding. the staff were extremely helpful in tracking our luggage and arranging its return. the transit passes were a tremendous bonus as they allowed us to explore basel without also trying to figure out the transit system.

Good, but could do better

The problems of access to the central - outlined in other reviews i have seen of this hotel - continue. we were given a double room rather than the requested twin, but the staff on the desk at the euler could not have been more helpful, and we were given an additional single room at no extra cost. the rooms were very small, but well-appointed and comfortable. the breakfast was superb, and the hotel's location can't be bettered. it still represents very good value for money, and the free tram tickets are a bonus.
