Most of the people in the street knows the hotel but nobody is able to explain how to reach it. we arrived when the kitchen was closed and used the hotel only to sleep.

I stayed 1 week long in hotel cactus. almost all free time we have spending outside. one thing was not acceptable - every day for breakfast was the same , the cheappest food (toast bread, margarine), for lunch only refrozen chicken medalions, cold spaghetti, some vegetables salat. service team - speaks english worse than i. its good place for those, who wants only keep money. good thing i can say - rooms was cleaned properly.

The hotel is poor, need renovation. we stayd for 1 night before our flight, but one more night i wouldn't want. the furniture are old, a shower very small and uncomfortable (i don't know how a bigger man can take a shower), a conditionier was working loudly. but the hotel is in pretty good location, near marina of larnaca, the staff were friendly, rooms were clean. free wifi in reception area.

Very basic,good for a one night stay before travelling further into the island ,convenient because of it's proximity to the airport

Make sure that when you book at the cactus you will be staying at the cactus! we arrived and checked in easily. the receptionist was friendly and polite. she gave me the room key and then walked us out of the door and across the road to the san remo hotel! when i queried i was told that both hotels are owned by the same company and there is no difference. well, while the room we were shown was clean and tidy , it in no way resembled the cactus room photographs on the booking details. however, as we were only staying for one night i decided to make no fuss and we stayed. perfectly pleasant, decent buffet breakfast and polite, helpful staff. but if we had been staying for a holiday instead of one night to pick up our daughter from larnaca airport, then i would have been mightily put out and there would have been a confrontation. beware!
