Stayed here many times - this adorable hotel wraps its arms around you! its a big, safe, comfortable, quiet, quality historic hotel in a great location for everything; railway connections, shopping, airport links. prices not too bad- food very good -staff efficient and polite. delighted to see it survive its sad past an important jewel in old glasgow's crown. wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Must have been the smallest room in the hotel ,good price i thought at first but must mean you get the smallest room ,breakfast not good had to sit in the bar for breakfast not good people passing constantly happened three mornings ,no to collect plates cup ect as you are we where not in breakfast room

Easy to get to, have great parking rates with the ncp car park along the road that is easy to get to from the hotel. excellent all you can eat buffet style breakfast. rooms are clean but could do with being refurbished, especially the bathrooms 2nd time ive stayed in this hotel and would return to it again.

This hotel has seen better days..very run down. generally not as clean as one would like, lots of problems, phone didn't work, elevator problems, pillows and mattresses are dirty and stained, shower didn't work properly, wallpaper was falling off the wall, sink had a sign on it saying: "not safe for drinking" !! like a third world country........

The crcial part of this stay for me was price and location, both of which were met. the rooms were a bit soulless but clean enough and servicable.

The rooms bear no resemblence to the website pictures. this is a beautiful old building in need of some extensive renovation to bring it up to the standard of even a basic hotel. the staff were very courteous and helpful. the breakfast was excellent. the location was good. it was a pity that the interior let it down. i will watch with anticipation to see the changes that are made to the hotel because i would go back if i could be guaranteed better facilities and decor. the floor of my room had collapsed in places, the bath was clean but disgusting, the windows didn't open and there was obscure plastic stuck over them anyway even if you did want to see the view.
