You could easily take that statement literally, because the bar at Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails is a scene unto itself. But what makes this Downtown Phoenix restaurant truly stand out is its innovative "gastro-lounge" concept which pairs seasonally inspired chef-driven cuisine with artisanal wines, craft cocktails and locally brewed beers. The menu here is deceptively straightforward: Hors D'oeuvres, Fish, Meats, Farm & Garden and Brick Oven Flatbreads. But from there it gets adventurous. Forget big plates loaded with butter, fat and cream.
