Without doubt, the worst hotel, i have ever had the misfortune to stay at. arrived at 13:50, to be told that we were too early, and we would have to wait until after 14:00 for our room. sitting in the bar area,waiting for my change from a bar order ( even then, they did not have enough change to give me, must be a new way to earn a tip), the receptionist ran in at 14:03, threw the key down, and said, it's ready now, no explanation of facilities or meal times. walking to our room, we realised what a mistake we had made, the refurbishment, i accept that there will be disruption, but the hotel was filthy. the room we were given, was cold, uninviting, the bathroom was disgusting, worn out, and tired. the towels were like sand paper, the tea and coffee facilities ? one coffee, one tea bag, one milk, and a few sachets of sugar.of course we complained to reception, deaf ears, could not see why we would possibly complain. even when they finish the refurbishment, i would advise you to avoid. you can change the building, attitudes take a little longer. i hasten to add, this was on valentines day !!!
