We enjoyed a wonderful 4-night stay at the mark spencer. we booked a corner king room after seeing photos on the hotel's website. the room had a large sitting area with sofa, table and chairs. we also enjoyed having a refrigerator, microwave and kitchen utensils (plates and silverware) for the times we ate take-out food. the continental breakfast was ample with a nice variety of items. all of the hotel staff we encountered were always pleasant and helpful. outside the hotel there are a variety of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops. we could see portland's famous powell books from our window. the location is excellent. we would definitely consider the mark spencer on a return visit to portland.
