First class in almost every respect. we were offered a newly re-furbished room which though luxurious presented some teething troubles - the sophisticated lighting system did not work properly and the plug in the bathroom basin was also faulty. the management noted and apologised for the problems but were not able to remedy them immediately. dining at both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant was a delight, as were the informal lunches served in bar, lounge and terrace areas. service was unfailingly friendly and helpful certainly the best london hotel we've ever stayed in.
