We had an excellent large double with ensuite facilities. staff were helpful and there was a general laid back and welcoming feel to the hotel. great location too.

Che rumore

Avevo letto di alcune recensioni che lamentavano la rumorosità delle camere, ma non pensavo potesse esserci una confusione del genere la notte!!! le camere sono molto piccole (ma per dormire vanno bene) ma il problema è la rumorosità delle stesse che impedisce di dormire serenamente!!!l'albergo ha un arredamento particolare e piacevole, ma dalle finestre (sopratutto quella del bagno) ci sono spifferi che a new york di dicembre sarebbe piacevole non avere!! grande punto a favore dell'albergo è la vicinanza al centro, distando pochissimi minuti dall'empire state e da times square!! consiglio, per chi volesse soggiornare in questo rumoroso albergo di munirsi di tappini per le orecchie e di sfruttare il "caffè 28" per colazione, pranzo o cena!!!

Bad hotel

Tiny room, very noisy, not clean. it was almost impossible to sleep: the elavator makes even more tumult than the guests. it was only one night, but we wher very happy that after that stayed in pennsylvania hotel.

Unhappy

The hotel (outside appearance and reception) is original, as the staff is nice. but rooms are small, basic, ugly and unconfortable, much too expensive for what it is. we requested a non-smoking, and we got a smoking one; wall painting is old and not clean; the bed is small (width and lenght) and of bad quality (very soft); the bathroom is tiny and not "fresh". at the end, they ask for some money to keep luggage on stand-by...amazing. we won't go back there. i wouldn'd have paid more than 100 us/per night.

L'hotel è all'angolo della 5° strada, non alla 7° come riportato sull'indirizzo, quindi la posizione è stata ancora migliore del previsto. il prezzo non è basso, ma è dovuto sicuramente anche alla posizione. gli hotel 3 stelle italiani sono molto più "lussuosi" come camere, ma questo è sicuramente più bello e originale da vedere. ogni piano ha un colore differente, ci sono molte opere (dipinti e fotografie) alle pareti. non parlano italiano ma si capisce abbastanza bene il loro "inglese". non aspettatevi un bagno come quello di casa, sanitari e prese di corrente sono degli anni 70...ovviamente il bidet non esiste. a volte un po rumoroso, quando fanno le pulizie al mattino si sentono sbattere le porte come se fossero in camera con voi. la camera comunque è sempre pulita. in camera sono disponibili ferro da stiro e asciugacapelli, utilizzabili a pagamento. internet wireless c'è, ma è solo a pagamento! 9,90$ al giorno o 35,00$ per 5 giorni. reception: se hai bisogno ti aiutano ma non sono tutti molto cordiali. nel loro ascensore è consigliato il "cafè 28" che è molto vicino, ma ci siamo trovati molto meglio dai concorrenti dal lato opposto della strada un isolato più avanti.

Funky gershwin

We had a great stay. well priced, clean and friendly. an old building that has been done up with some great art work. the room was a good size with a proper bathroom (not one of those pre fab bathroom pods!) perfectly located for the empire state and times square. also close for china town and little italy. recommend eating in korea way just up a few blocks.

I had no problems with this hotel for the price i paid, the room was fine, en suite bathroom did the job and all in all i was very pleased indeed
