Ottima sistemazione, camere di media grandezza, arredate in modo moderno e con gusto...letto matrimoniale enorme con cuscini morbidissimi e comodissimi...il bagno e' favoloso con una doccia spaziosa. la posizione dell'albergo e' prestigiosa, in 10 minuti a piedi ci si trova a piccadilly circus quindi in pieno centro. io ci tornero' di sicuro... *******consigliato*******

Loved this hotel - no good if you like small and welcoming as this is large and imposing - that said the staff couldn't be more helpful including photocopying items for us, storing our bags, upgrading us free of charge.... the list is endless. the rooms are lovely - not the biggest but definately on of the most comfortable, the beds very comfy, the bathroom is spotless with nice toiletries (shame the shower wasn't a power shower) and a good size bath. flat screen tv's in the room with an iron and ironing board and for us ladies a proper hair dryer !!!! the breakfast in the morning is worth whatever it is they charge - they'll cook fresh omlettes in front of you - the best breakfast i've had in any hotel in london for sure - the location is amazing right on the corner of oxford street opposite marble arch ! - we had a meeting to attend in park lane which is why we chose this hotel - hotelsclick was the best price by far for this hotel. if you have children i would say don't stay i would struggle to see what there is at this hotel for them to do but that is the only critism i have ...

Had tickets for the sound of music and needed a hotel for the night, most other hotels were full due to wimbledon finals and tour de france in london. cumberland hotel was one of the few west end hotels with a vacancy on the saturday night. i don't know why that was as the hotel was very nice. the double room we had was excellent, with a very modern decor and the bathroom had some ingenious design features. its located right next to marble arch and oxford street for the shops. we really enjoyed our stay. i use it again and would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed in the cumberland regularly about 30 years ago, how its changed !!!!!! we were delighted with our room on arrival, clean and very modern. all the staff appeared attentive and helpful,the breakfast was very good too, although we all commented on how like a canteen the restaurant felt, not much atmosphere. we were disturbed very early on sunday morning [ 5.05am.] by laundry vans directly outside below our room on the first floor bringing and taking large laundry crates away and staff running up and down the concrete stairwell next to our room!!!

I have stayed at the cumberland on a few occasions now and it seems like the standards get worse and worse everytime i go. when i got to my room the first thing i noticed was how awful the room smelt, secondly i realised that it was a non smoking room when i had requested a smoking room, lastly it was really dirty, hairs in the bath and on the shower curtain, dirty mirrors and floors and generally grubby everywhere else. i called down to reception but it was impossible to get through, just rang out. i eventually got the call centre but they couldn't get reception either. the girl in the call centre said she'd get someone to call me back butafter 30 mins no one had so i called again. after being on and off the phone with the call centre she told me that there were no other rooms so they would get someone to come and freshen the room and give me an ashtray. well i had ordered and eaten a room service meal (this was actually very good) before someone brough the ashtray and no one ever came to freshen the room. i eventually got bored of trying to get someone on reception to pick up the phone and went to bed. the next day i asked again if my room could be freshened, i was told it would be but when i returned later that evening it still smelt the same as was just as grubby. as i ahd not got back till after 10pm all i wanted to do was sleep so i left it as i was leaving the next day. there was a conference on whilst i was there so i suspect that they were under staffed and couldn't cope but really they should provision staff for these busy periods. the location of this hotel is so perfect but even given that i'm not sure i would stay there again now as there are better hotels in the area that are priced much the same and offer superior service and standards. very disappointing all round

First impression is spectacular easy booking in and then the room first impression small but we are in london very mod and very clean facilities second to none bar very polished and slick. if any complaint the breakfast service was a little holiday camp style but the food was good i guess monday to friday would be different all in all for what we paid this was a good choice give it a go peter & kay stebbings
