With a direct access from victoria station, the grosvenor offers their guests well appointed accommodation at reasonable prices. maybe rooms are a bit small, but i loved the powerful shower. nice breakfast too. the building itself is a historical site. we were placed in the wing and it's a long walk to reception (two lifts included), but we didn't hear any noises from the station, so no issues with that. a great stay overall!

Fantastic location. additional bed squeezed in and without lightning and also very uncomfortable. not ok if you pay for a 3-bed bedroom.

it was our 20th wedding anniversery and chose the hotel because we were going on the the pullman train from victoria, the receptionist asked about our stay and when we arrived back from a show that night we found a complementry bottle wine waiting for us which was a great surprise! all staf were very friendly and extremly helpfull. the hotel is a great building but thought the room was a bit to normal for the surroundings.

Perfect hotel for victoria station, london. the standard double room was quiet and spacious. although the bathroom was cramped, the shower cubicle was generous. a friend joining me later felt that she had rather a brusque, even rude, reception from the front desk (they telephoned me to check that i was expecting her) but i was glad of their evideent security. english breakfast was included but as it stands on hot plates it was not that good. the level of choice and quality of the buffet in general was excellent, however, and the tea coffee service was superb.

My husband and i stayed at the grosvenor from aug 23, 2013 until aug 26, 2013. we upgraded the room, which was very nice and large for european standards. the location was perfect. we were able to take the bus, tube and walk anywhere we wanted. also, being attached to victoria train station was very nice. if we go there again i will definitely stay there.

Great hotel, great location, within walking distance to lizzy's house! we thought it was well worth a few extra quid for our stay. however, there's no early check-in, which is not good when you're trying to freshen up in the lobby if you arrive before 3pm. the service at breakfast does let it down slightly, and don't go near end of breakfast time as the food supplies dwindle very rapidly - the kitchen and waiting staff are looking forward to end of shift perhaps? all in all, a great stay, we'd go back happily.

We wanted a reasonably good hotel at reasonable cost in this location. everything met our expectations. the buffet breakfast was good with no queuing. we were able to check in early (noon). the room was clean, quiet (2nd floor in wing) and had everything we required for a one night stay. if we intended spending much time in the room it was fairly small but we didn't and it is central london . we didn't eat dinner or use other facilities so can't comment on those. the staff were helpful in providing a needle and cotton and also in storing our luggage on the 2nd day. we'd happily stay again.

My wife and i stayed prior to our cruise to see london , the location was great buckingham palace was within a short walk. being over the train station was a little alarming until we arrived. the station didn't present any noise and i'm a lite sleeper. the area is very busy but not at all intimidating. the breakfast was very good everything you could want with a very attentive staff. you're in the middle of everything including the hop on hop off busses. around the corner in a very small shop maybe 10 x 20 was a crepe shop that made the best crepes go for either a meal or dessert but the seating is small, sparse and tight but worth it.

Perfect for a weekend stay in london with direct access to victoria station and the gatwick express. the rooms are small but clean and quiet, and they're very well equipped. the staff was helpful and almost too friendly. they all took the time to stop and say hello and we where always asked if we need anything.

The grosvenor is a lovely hotel in a great location. the lobby and lounge areas are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. all of the staff i encountered went out of their way to be friendly and attentive. i booked a single room which had 2 single beds in it. plenty of room for me on my own for one night, but it would be a squeeze for 2 people staying any longer. my room was lovely and quiet even though it backed on to the station. had a great night's sleep. bed was very comfortable and room was clean and well equipped. when i checked out, the receptionist asked if i wanted to leave my case with them for the day while i was going about my business, which was thoughtful. there are a few good bars and restaurants close by also.

Excellent hotel great location, super staff - very helpful and friendly. great room - large and quiet. very comfortable beds. i have stayed at this hoel quite a few times now and it just gets better. very good breakfast and had lovely sandwich in the bistro at night.

Wonderful hotel. interior is very beautiful, nice and clean. the basic amenities are there but could have more toiletries amenities such as cotton pad & mouth rinse.would be good if complimentary bottled water is provided.

Found the quality of the accommodation to be good. we had been warned that the hotel was being refurbished and so thought there might be some disruption and areas not refurbished. we were pleasently surprised as the main areas all had been fully refurbished and although we had booked a standard room this had also been upgraded. one disappointment was the breakfast which was rather mediocre. went to see war horse and south pacific both really good.

My wife and i were very pleased with our stay at the grosvenor. it is very conveniently located. it has a fine old foyer, bar and restaurant areas, though some signs of 'faded elegance'. when we arrived there was a discrepancy between our booking and the room reserved for us but the staff at reception, martina and anita, could not have been more pleasant and helpful in sorting it out.

A four star hotel performing like obscure place without a star. reception was careless, cold and trying to charge money for their own computer system not functioning well. on my departure i notices that my bookingdate was wrong. hotelsclicq-organisation was very helpfull to find a hotel for the same day. i couldn't printout the voucher, took it on my usb-stick with me. the hotel had not received the booking whe i arrived 7 hours later because their computersystem was slow. they refused to checq it on my usb stick, when i asked to show them in my emailbox that the voucher was there and print it out, they refused. they suggested i buy one hour internetservice from the hotel to do that. they tried to sell me another booking. when i refused and didn't leave the hotel, they finally gave in and offered me the chance to checq my emailbox and forward the voucher to them. after long, long time waiting i finally got a noicy room. the performance of this hotel's reception staff is below zero.

When i stayed in the first reserved 'standard' room, i was very disappointed. it located on the top floor of the side building, with no a/c, no fridge, the wall in front of me not even vertical. i was so shock for the price i paid for this 'standard room'. finally, i complained and got the room changed which is located on lower floor (with a/c, fridge and even a vertical wall!!) it was much more reasonable. for no a/c, no fridge and not even a vertical wall kind of room, and so called 'standard' room. i suggest you need to have a fully detailed description in your web-page, so that customer would understand what they will get.

Only use this hotel because of its convenience, also the price is good, otherwise i wouldnt go near it, it is only just on the right side of clean, the beds are saggy, and the bathrooms are quite frankly, grubby, in fact apart from reception the whole hotel needs a damn good clean and overhaul
