Tara towers stay

This hotel is good value. it would benefit from some investment in the rooms, in our room the tv is the old tube type which would occasionally turn off by itself and then restart a few seconds later, the remote control didn't work, the sink tap was loose and the toilet roll holder was a threaded bar. that said, the room was large, clean and warm.

Location and price

I stay regulalry at the tara towers because of its convenient situation to where i need to go on business. the car park is excellent value. i have not eaten in the hotel. some of the rooms are in need of rennovation but the bathrooms have been upgraded. visitors may be surprised at the small dimentions of the single beds which these days are not the normal "full" size but the old single 3"size. overall i find this hotel perfect for my purpose.

Pleasant experience

I enjoyed my stay in tara towers hotel very much. at reception i found staff very pleasant. hotel is very central for me and breakfast was very good. i will stay there again.

Nice change

I decided to visit dublin on my own i was pleasantly surprised how freindly the irish were my hotel was clean x comfortable breakfast was hearty x staff very accommodating when i lost my mobile they were so helpful thankfully i found it, due to there astuteness my only regret is that i couldn't, stay longer thanks staff of tara towers for a welcoming stay xx

Comodo da e per l'aeroporto!

Camera modesta, non di grandi dimensioni, ma sicuramente ben funzionale e comoda, con una bella vista sulla baia di dublino dove si intravedeva molto bene il galles. la tv lasciava a desiderare, neanche un canale italiano ed il telecomando che non funzionava bene. non c'era frigobar, ma abbiamo scoperto che vi era una macchina (a pagamento) erogatrice d'acqua e quant'altro al primo e quarto piano. il pub annesso è molto invitante e non troppo costoso, se si vuole passare qualche ora, senza andare in centro. la vera comodità è che la fermata dei bus per il centro è proprio sull'uscio del hotel, ma il biglietto di una corsa singola costa 2,40 a persona. la stessa fermata è utilizzata per i bus che portano in aeroporto!

Tara towers

Stayed in tara towers hotels for 5 nights in the past week, hotel was chosen for its location close to ucd. everything is fairly basic in the hotel as i always believe you get what you pay for. transport links are fairly good as dart station about 10 mins walk away and bus also close.

Satisfactory

Stayed mid week for wedding anniversary, just wanted a cheap place to stay in dublin . some reviews said the hotel was very tired but our room had had a refurb, stilln lacking a bit in decor but for £99 was well pleased. breakfast a bit hap-hassard but pleanty to choose from. bus outside fron door dart 5 mins walk 3euro 90 return to city centre about 10min journey. top tip eat at the punchbowl pub facing the dart station excellent value great staff. the black stuff is excellent

Albergo con un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. gentile e disponibile il personale. adiacente e comunicante con l'hotel un simpatico pub irlandese dove si può trascorrere una serata piacevole. sul mare e di fronte alla fermata dei bus ha una ubicazione molto funzionale. in 15 minuti si arriva alla o'connell street ,cuore di dublino. torneremo al tara towers!

Taratowers

A good comercial hotel with off road parking. rooms are spacious with excelent beds and bathrooms. great value and will certainly use this hoter again.

Le prix sauve l'hôtel

Un hôtel dont les chambres ont besoin d'être rénovées; seule la réception a été rénovée (les photos du site ne sont pas à jour). un prix correct mais attention, s'il n'est pas inclus le petit déjeûner irlandais est cher (15 euros). l'hôtel est loin du centre (1h de marche environ), heureusement il est situé sur la ligne du dart.

Overnight stay for concert

Very pleased with the hotel, attended a concert at the rds and hotel was very convienient, only 2 dart stops away,rooms were clean and comfortable.breakfast was excellent.

Bargain hotel

Stayed in the tara towers for the bruce springsteen concert in the rds on saturday the 11th july. had booked through hotelsclick.com. checked in and everything was in order and could not fault the hotel or the staff. the only downside was that we had booked a double room but unfortunately ended up with a twin!!!

Weekend break

Had stayed in hotel previously, again thought the bathroom could definitely do with upgrading, grout on tiles v. dirty looking. overall room quite clean though. asked for quite room at the back of hotel, got room at the back, but was over looking all the air-con units!! (not too bad though)

Tara towers - in need of updating??

Overall pleasant stay. although room was slightly cold. bathroom needs updating badly! when we first got to our room, the key card would not work, not the first time to happen there i would think, reception were most helpful and friendly. within in 15 mins walking distance of blackrock clinic, so great location.

Good value for a relatively expensive city

Good value for money. clean rooms, 5-10 minute bus ride into the city centre. breakfasts are pretty average but no worse than what i have experienced at other places.

Staying at tara towers

Stayed at tara towers for 3 nights while sight seeing ireland. when first seeing the hotel from the outside we did get a bit worried, but once inside the hotel is great. the rooms are big, clean and welcoming and have all the facilities you will need. the bar and restaurant serve great food, and the breakfast is amazing (and buffet style!). all the staff were very helpful and friendly. it is also near the bus stop and trainline. the train into dublin cost 1.80euro each way, and the bus is a similar price, they also run quite late upto about 12o'clock which is useful! at the weekend there was great entertainment in the bar and a good atmosphere!! only down sides are there are not many bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance. although the hotel had a bar it was expensive like all bars in ireland! also the shower in our room seemed to be designed for people only 4ft tall, you literally have to kneel underneath it. apart from that a great stay and would stay there again!!!

Tara towers

Hotel is ok for basic hotels. breakfast is rubbish and just glad was in the price as would be disappointed if had to pay for this. rooms were ok but need an update and i wish the hotel would clean there windows. the bar is alright and the bar food was of good quality and not too over priced. was at concert in rds and is a good 30 min walk but there is a bus stop just outside the hotel

I had a pleasant room which was clean and reasonably priced. very impressed. would recommend to anybody. taxi fare is around 16 euros into temple bar though, but i will definitely return to this hotel.

Nice

The reception, bar and resturant in this hotel were lovely the staff were very nice and helpful. breakfast was good. the only down fall was the rooms they are deffinately in need of some attention our room was like a sauna as the sun shone in it all day which would have been lovely with air con! the beds had just blanketts no valance on the base and we could see damp coming down the walls beside the windows which was also on the curtains! our view was a building site and the hotel generator was below us. this hotel is just outside the centre of dublin (a short ride on the dart) beautiful location. alot of elderly people stay at this hotel. i would think about going back if the dreary bedrooms were updated.
