Die zentrale lage diese riesenhotels ist unschlagbar, v.a. für theaterbesucher. eins der wenigen hotels in london mit echten einzelzimmern, die dann einigermaßen bezahlbar sind. trotz der größe (ca. 1000 zimmer!), wird das hotel sehr professionell und effizient geführt.

Die lage ist unschlagbar! - vieles ist gut zu fuß zu erreichen - für show-besucher bestens geeignet - 1 tag war das zimmer nach 7 std. noch nicht gereinigt

This my 'second home' in central london, and, as a frequent visitor, find the location and general ambiance of the hotel excellent. all staff are very friendly and helpful. breakfast buffet outstanding.

As on previous visits i never get tired of london or the strand palace hotel. the location is centrally ideal for visits to the theatre, and sights of the city & west end, and is near enough to the main railway stations where fast trains whisk you to other parts of england. the english buffet breakfast is excellent value and outstanding. upgrading to a 'club room' was a very good idea....more comfort and facilities and a street view which i especially requested.

Für london-city extrem preiswert (171 eur für 2 nächte mit frühstück). zimmer klein, aber ok. nach hinten raus, nicht schön, aber ruhig.

Das horel liegt nur wenige minuten vom trafalgar square entfernt. preis / leistung sind in ordnung, das frühstück ist für englische verhältnisse wirklich gut und reichhaltig. vor- und gleichzeitig auch nachteilig ist die lage: einerseits ist man sehr zentral, andererseits bedingt dies eine gewisse geräuschkulisse. sofern man also zimmer zur straße hin bekommt, ist es schon ziemlich laut. da helfen auch geschlossene fenster kaum. wer es ruhiger mag, sollte also nach einem zimmer nach hinten heraus fragen. die zimmer sind o.k., eher altmodisch eingerichtet aber meines war sauber. der service, sei es an der rezeption, im frühstücksraum oder durch housekeeping ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. die mitarbeiter an dem schalter, an dem man tickets etc. buchen kann, waren weniger zuvorkommend (ich hatte manchmal eher das gefühl zu stören).

As with all my previous sojourns to the strand palace hotel london, i enjoyed every minute of my 10 days. the location was perfect for my visits to the west end, notting hill, and the city. buffet breakfast is outstanding. some of the rooms could do with renovating. mine has sealed windows which i found to be somewhat unhealthy. (6th floor). three friends booked rooms for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Strand palace hotel, strand, london has an excellent location. the city & business centres to the east, and west end theatres, cinemas, and action to the west. good value and wonderful buffet breakfast. i will certainly stay there again.

The strand palace hotel has an excellent location. near the main london theatres & attractions (trafalgar square, piccadilly, soho etc.) and yet is only 15 mins via regular bus services to the 'city' and business centre, and also 15 mins by 'bus in the other direction to london eye big wheel, green park, buckingham palace hyde park royal albert hall, notting hill gate etc.(bus travel is a sightseeing trip on its own) the rooms are adequate and comfortable with all usual modern conveniences. very good and well informed concierge. four bars, from "posh" to "jeans", two restaurants. excellent buffet breakfast "the best in london". i mustn't say too much more as next time i plan to stay there the hotel will be full !!!

I have been staying at the strand palace hotel on and off for about 30 years and have always had a pleasant experience. the rooms (single) are adequate for your needs (but lights in bathroom poor for shaving), and the price is very competitive considering the central theatreland, sightseeing & city location. the english buffet breakfast is not to be missed. staff were always friendly & polite. overall, would i highly reccommend the hotel to anybody. but, i must not wax lyrical too much in case the price increases.

Spacious single room, very clean, great location. i had a room facing the courtyard behind the main street, so it's extremely quiet even with the window open.
