Good deal

Ideal for visiting gib only 5/10min walk and at less than half the price of hotels on the rock, check in was quick and courteous, room was clean and fresh with all that was needed, breakfast was plentiful fresh and warm, no complaints

Five minute walk via the border control to gibraltar

Possibly the four star given to this hotel (was run previously by iberostar) is now a little generous, as beginning to look tired and need of an update, although we were informed it is about to change hands again. very convenient for a walk into gibraltar and has secure underground parking at €10 per night. breakfast improved from last visit and is worth paying the extra especially if booking for two people. easy booking with hotelsclick made this an enjoyable stay, despite a few hiccups with the hotel and as mentioned before struggling to attain a four star rating.

Everything was good, ok tv was fuzzy but we were out and about so didnt need it anyway, cant comment on breakfast as we slept through it

Le sobra 1 estrella

Cuando llegue me tuve que poner a arreglar las patas de la cama porque al sentarme se volcó y el televisor sólo tiene 4 canales repetidos varias veces además de que se ven muy mal y el mando a distancia no funciona. la puerta hay que cerrarla a portazos porque roza por el suelo. aparcamientos hay que pagar si o si porque si no pagas el parking tienes que pagar en la zona azul porque es casi imposible encontrar una calle sin zona azul en esa zona. lo único aceptable el desayuno buffet.

No merece las 4 estrellas

El hotel parece haber sido diseñado con mucha ambición, pero no se ha realizado el correspondiente mantenimiento y ahora todo parece viejo. y también da la impresión de contar con el personal necesario. la habitación estaba limpia al llegar, pero no se realizó la limpieza de la habitación tras el primer día de estancia (algo que se me antoja poco compatible con las 4 estrellas que luce). era una habitación adecuada, el wifi funcionaba y las camas eran cómodas. pero la tele era antigua y la recepción de canales era terrible. el minibar estaba completamente vacío. el desayuno era abundante y variado, pero de calidad mediocre. el café es de máquina expendedora. el personal era amable. el hotel está bien para ir de paso, pero no para disfrutar de sus instalaciones. requiere una reforma urgente que elimine humedad y repare todo lo que parece a punto de romperse (por ejemplo, una huésped se llevó la barra del interior del ascensor al apoyarse).

Ideal, reasonably priced base

We liked the hotel. it wasn't perfect but the good points outweighed the bad ones. good points - nice bedroom and bathroom; nice view albeit only in one direction from our 3rd floor room; excellent location; friendly, efficient and helpful staff; economical-we paid £50 per night b and b during half term; good range of breakfast food and drink. bad points which we didn't complain about because they didn't matter to us - tv picture snowy; fridge didn't work; conference centre partially blocking our view. the attached hair dryer burnt out on first use, but i was immediately given a key to a room nearby in order to use another drier. next day a new drier was supplied.
