The building (the old one) is really nice and the rooms too. the breakfast offers wide selection of different kind of food and nice atmosphere. in the lobby and in the bar there is live music every night. there you can feel like the old ime hotel life in a very nice building.

Was staying in manila for 6 nights so after some online research opted for 3 nights in the manila hotel and 3 in the peninsula. i had initially phoned the hotel direct to book as wanted a room with views across manila bay to see the famous sunset at night but was told that rooms were allocated when checking in so decided to book online through hotelsclick.com and take my chances booking in. to my surprise there were some good discounts online and got a room cheaper than the price on the hotels website. thankfully after a 12 hour flight from london it did not take long to get to the hotel by taxi from the airport. checking in went well and after asking for a room with a bay view was told one was available and i could have it. after collecting the room key and getting to the room i was disappointed to find that the room did not have a bay view and just overlooked another wing of the hotel. i was tired at this point and just wanted to rest so decided not to complain but wish i had now. the room itself was nice, very large with plenty of space and a large screen tv, the only minor niggle was that the plug in the bathroom did not seal very well and water slowly leaked out of the sink which was annoying when i was shaving and had to keep filling up the sink with water. the hotel facilities were excellent and could not be faulted, lovely swimming pool area and gym and the buffet breakfast was superb. the staff were always smiling and friendly so overall a nice stay and would definitely come back but will make sure i get a bay view next time.

This place is really amazing. beautiful foyer and facilities. great pool bar. great rooms. perfect!
