We stayed at this hotel for an evening wedding reception. everything was just great. checking in was easy and friendly and our room was everything we expected and more. it was large, with ample room for seating as well and the bathroom was fantastic. the breakfast was also great. the only quibble i had was the tiny wardrobe area, which was quite difficult to access. we were only staying one night but had wedding clothes etc and had a job fitting it all in. if we'd been there for longer i think some of our clothes would have had to remain in the suitcase. we had to wait about 15 minutes to get a parking space. we could have used the (cheaper)ncp park over the road but the hotel park was secure and so we decided to pay the £12 for peace of mind. some family members were in the mercure in the city centre. it was cheaper but pokey and very noisy and they wished they'd stayed at the mcdonald. hotelsclick.com got us a great rate at this hotel. we'll certainly use them again.
