Four middle aged ladies arrived dec 2009 from dublin to memmingen for weekend - drove 45 mins to fussen and had the most fantastic time in the treff luitpold park beautiful hotel. rooms are like suites, huge - fantastic bathroom underfloor heating, amazing breafast, but the staff - what can i say - they were brilliant - thank you tim and the boys and girls. the hotel is right in the small town which is so beautiful with the mountains wrapped around it. there is also an amazing hotel right in the town. hire a car and drive around all the villages and lakes - you can see the major castles better that way. we didnt bother going into the big ones as we saw eought from various vantage points. this place unbelievable gorgeous am going back in january. the restaurants are brilliant and very reasonable. there is a great bar attached to hotel where you can meet all the locals. i would give it a ten * rating.
